Responsible for writing and anchoring newscasts, conducting and producing mostly live interviews with newsmakers and authors, composing hourly rundowns and assigning reporters for San Francisco’s all-news commercial radio station. Work closely with CBS 5 and the CBS Radio Network to coordinate coverage. Upload and edit podcasts and write stories and headlines for www.kcbs.com.

Awards:

2008 Peninsula Press Club Award for breaking news, the KCBS Newsteam, with anchoring by Bryan Goebel, for "Tiger Attack."

2006 Northern California RTNDA Award for best newscast, the KCBS Afternoon News, written by Bryan Goebel.

Organized the state’s largest conference on hate crimes. Launched the agency’s monthly newsletter, wrote press releases and speeches, served as media liaison to the U.S. attorney’s office.

Coordinated nightside news coverage with a team of veteran reporters at the ABC-TV affiliate in Sacramento. Field produced coverage of the Unabomber case and the 1998 gubernatorial election. Reported occasionally.

Managing editor, weekend talk show host and reporter at Sacramento's news/talk station. Hosted "Inside Sacramento," a weekly examination of state politics. Served as acting news director and covered a number of high-profile criminal cases, including O.J. Simpson, the Unabomber and the trial of serial killer Dorothea Puente. Awarded the "California Journalism Award" by the California State University, Sacramento in 1995 for coverage of Proposition 209, the anti-affirmative action measure. Winner of the Silver Medallion Award from the California Bar Association for a series of investigative reports on Sacramento County Juvenile Hall. Named "Favorite Radio Personality" by the Lambda Gay and Lesbian Center for coverage of the 1993 Gay March on Washington.
